Loom
Fabric Design was established in New Zealand in 1997 by the
artist Tony Lane and designer Sheryl Annesley-Smith. The company
was founded on their shared love and interest in contemporary
art, rugs and textiles . Each one of the rugs illustrated here
is designed by a New Zealand artist and is one of a signed limited
edition. The rugs are made using traditional craft skills.The
virgin wool used is of exceptionally high quality and is spun
and dyed specifically for each piece. Each rug is woven individually
(with approximately thirty knots per square inch) so that it
attains subtle variations and richness of tone and texture. |
